Special Pricing Agreements (SPAs) can be managed efficiently in bulk via CSV uploads. This article guides you through the steps to add, replace, or update SPAs, and explains how to set up customer-specific permissions for the discounts.
Adding a SPA
1. Navigate to your Admin System and go to Discounts, found in the main menu
2. Click on Add Discount in the top right hand corner
3. Choose a Description for your discount
4. Select Discount Type
- Under Discount Type, select Simple.
- Simple Discounts allow you to apply percentage-based or fixed discounts on specific products.
5. Choose How It’s Used

Select Automatic. This ensures the special pricing will be displayed automatically and applied as customers visit the product page.
6. Override Base Price
Enable the Override Base Price option. This hides the original price and shows the discounted price as the product’s primary price.
7. Allow Discount Stacking (Optional)
Check the Allow Discount Stacking box if you want this SPA to work alongside one additional discount, such as a voucher code during a promotional campaign (e.g., Black Friday).
8. Configure Discount Details
Upload SPAs via CSV:
- Click on Upload SPAs via CSV. Note: This feature works for SKUs and discount types set to New Fixed Price per Unit.
- Ensure the Replace checkbox is ticked.
- Upload your .csv file following the below format (case sensitive):
sku price PRODUCT-1 12.34 PRODUCT-2 114.99 PRODUCT-3 21.49
- sku: Your product SKU.
- price: The new fixed price for the product
Viewing SKUs and Prices:
- If uploading 100 SKUs or fewer, you will be able to preview the SKUs and their associated prices.
- If uploading more than 100 SKUs, the system will display the information in the attached CSV.
- After upload, you can download the CSV file to view all products and prices in an importable format.
Replacing an SPA
To replace an existing SPA with new pricing or SKUs:

Click on the "Upload SPAs via CSV" button.

Tick the "Replace" Option:
- Ensure the Replace checkbox is ticked to overwrite the existing SPA.

Process New CSV:
- Upload your new CSV file with SKUs and pricing information.

Save the Discount:
- After the upload is processed, save the discount.
Appending/Updating an SPA
To append new SKUs or update prices for existing SPAs:

Tick the "Append/Update" Option:
- Ensure the Append/Update checkbox is ticked to add or modify pricing information without replacing the entire sheet.

Process the CSV:
- Upload a CSV containing either new SKUs or updated prices.

Save the Discount:
- After processing the CSV, save the discount.
Additional Settings (Optional)

Date Range:
- If applicable, specify a start and end date for the SPA to ensure it is only valid for a particular time period.

Customer Permissions:
- Set permissions to determine who can access the SPA. Choose from:
- All customers (inc. guests)
- All logged-in/registered customers
- All guests
- Customers tagged with (specific tags)
- Customers with company
- Specific customers (by email addresses)

Save and Activate
- Toggle the discount to Active to make it available for customers.
- Once all the details are configured, click SAVE at the top-right corner.
