What are protected pages?

On the pages index screen you will notice that some pages have a padlock icon next to them. This means they are a protected system page and cannot be deleted.

When you click on one of these pages to make edits, you will see that the Visibility section also shows the page's protected status.

You can add content to these pages in the Content area provided, but it it will only appear in the fixed position available for content in that page's pre-set design.

Some of the default pages in Shopblocks are locked and cannot be deleted. Additionally, some fields are not editable.

The URL of locked pages is not editable. Because of this we advise that you do not change the name of locked pages as the URL reflects the name of the page.

Pages that are locked cannot be manually toggled between published and unpublished status. The system automatically determines the status based on your progress in setting up your website. For instance, the returns page will be automatically set to published once you have finished creating your returns policy.
