In Shopblocks, you can show special content on your product pages such as a promo videos and/or tabbed content.
Not every product will require these content blocks, so only add them to the ones that do.
Go to Products.
Scroll dow to find the +Add Block button.
There are three different content blocks you can add to each product:
- Promo Text
- Video Carousel
- Tabbed Content
- Secondary Images
Promo Text
Here you can enter some text to highlight a certain aspect of this product.
Video Carousel
This is where you can select a video(s) to display along with your product. This is useful if you need to explain a certain part of the product; how it works or how it was made. Both YouTube and Vimeo videos are supported. Simply paste in the URL of the video you want to display.
You must have permission from the content creator to show the video on your shop.
Keep in mind that this does not download the videos to your account, but embeds them onto the page from either YouTube or Vimeo servers. If YouTube or Vimeo removes the video from their sites, then you or your customers won’t be able to see it on your website.
Tabbed Content
Here you can create tabs of content, allowing your customer to be in control of what they're reading. They can do this by clicking through each tab in order to read the details. As one opens, another one closes. This reduces the amount of text a customer can see at once, enabling a cleaner, efficient design.
This would be useful if you needed to display technical specifications, customer reviews, delivery information, and returns. Having the entirety of this information displaying at once would provide an awkward user journey for your customers to navigate, especially on mobile. When presented in Tabbed Content, it’s much easier for your customers to find what they are looking for.
Secondary Images
Some websites like to have additional images displayed outside of the product image area. Secondary Images will allow you to have other images specified to that product page, but appear on its own block.
Adding the Tabbed Content block to BlockLab.
Go to BlockLab > Product Page.
Click 'New' in the top left hand corner of your screen and select Tabbed Content listed in the Product Blocks section.
Style your Tabbed Content.
Click Save and then Publish to make these changes live.
